The Trolley and Friends

Jackie is ready for Christmas! She's been a good doggy and is excited for Santa to come!

We got together with some friends from Mops to let our kids put on a live nativity scene so we could get points for our scavenger hunt. They were so cute!
Next up on the scavenger hunt list - ride a trolley - so downtown we went. This was our first time and it was lots of fun and felt very Christmassy.

Christmas lights

Yesterday evening, we went out to look at Christmas lights in west Plano, but first the girls wanted to show off some new outfits their friend gave them.

And here is Lizzy in her more natural state.

Here's the most Christmasy house in the area. Lots of fun, but can you imagine being their neighbors????

But we all agreed that this house was the best!

Christmas Programs

Katie and Lizzy both had programs at church recently. They all sang beautifully! Thanks to all their teachers who work hard all year! I took some video, but I give up on getting it uploaded here.

Gingerbread Houses

We had our annual gingerbread house party with Mops a week and a half ago. We didn't get a good turn out this year, but we had lots of fun with our good friends who came and Katie got to do her own which she had been wanting to do anyways.

Poor Lizzy

Last night at the Sunday School Christmas party, Lizzy was chasing a ball and fell in the church gym. She bit halfway through her tongue, and sliced it sideways as well. Pretty gross - when I touched it to see how deep it was, the top part of her tongue lifted up. So we went to the after hours clinic which sent us to Children's Medical Center. She saw 2 doctors there and finally they decided not to do stitches because they would have to put her under and they hope it will heal ok. After waiting til past midnight so it would stop oozing blood, they finally sent us home. So they said nothing but cold liquid diet for 2 days and no running or playing for a week. Guess that was the only way she could think of to get out of her punishment of no tv for 4 days that she had gotten for running out in the street. Now she gets to do nothing but watch tv. Poor girl is pretty miserable and swollen today. Hopefully we'll get some liquids down her today. She told me she couldn't drink because her tongue keeps falling off. I think the top layer is flapping when she drinks.

Caroling

At our last Girl Scouts meeting, my amazing Daisies went caroling at the nursing home with the help of our wonderful Juniors. They also helped us to paint lapdesks which we handed out.

Merry-Go-Round

My poor children are extremely deprived. There are no merry-go-rounds near where we live as all the parks have been updated and everything that can kill you has been removed so nothing is fun anymore. So when we found this park that looked like it had been there since the 70's we had to go for awhile. Even us old people got in on the fun!
