New bathroom floor

After being bugged by the girl's bathroom floor for SIX years, we finally did something about it. When it was put in, instead of putting the floor, then the toilet, they cut the vinyl around the toilet then used gobs of glue and caulk to try and make it work. It looked about as good as it sounds like it would. Dirty, globby and gross.

As if that wasn't bad enough, they also used a sticky plastic piece to seal the edge of the floor by the tub. It would slide around just enough to get the entire area sticky and dirty. Eew.

We had wanted to do the groutable peel and stick vinyl tile that is new, but then I didn't feel like spending hours prepping the floor, so back to our trusty Allure vinyl planks. They stick to themselves so the floor doesn't have to be perfect. This is my third floor done with Allure and we can't be happier with it.

I think it turned out really nicely. Hopefully soon, we can add some shelving and some new faucets and the kids will have a brand new bathroom! But best of all, the toilet and tub area can be cleaned!
