Our Girl Scouts were just not meant to camp out this year. We had to cancel camp twice because it was flooded and then we gave up and decided to have a backyard camp out. But then it was supposed to rain at midnight so we decided to sleep in. Then, just as we finished the hotdogs, everyone had to run inside fast because a sudden storm blew up. It was raining sideways, lightening, and hailing.
So they came inside and watched movies and played sardines.
Since it was still pouring outside we got inventive and created stove smores. 13 girls, 30 stove smores, and only one marshmallow caught on fire and was given a fast screaming tour of the kitchen. Not bad.
Not as campy, but still just as yummy!
They finally settled down a bit. I gave up and went to bed at 12:30 and still heard some giggling.
But thankfully, everyone was up at 6:30 ready for pancakes!
It was a beautiful morning so they hit the pool.
