We went to Austin TX over Memorial Day weekend to see some family friends. We had a great time and enjoyed their hospitality and we can't wait to go back.
On Saturday we got to see downtown Austin and the capital. We watched Under the Sea in 3d at the imax which was awesome. Sunday we joined our friends at their church, and then went to Lake Travis where we had a wet picnic but then it cleared up enough for us to go in the lake. Too bad we forgot our swimsuits.
Monday we went to the Zilker Botanical Gardens and then to the park across the street. We took a ride on the train and then rented a canoe for an hour. Theo and I found out we cannot work together well enough to row and mostly went in circles. We still managed to have lots of fun. Lizzy was so tired she fell asleep in the boat and missed most of it. We left Monday afternoon and on the way home we got to see some old friends of mine in Waco and enjoyed catching up.
