We had some of the kids' friends over for a Halloween party on Friday evening. Our grand total was 33 kids and 5 brave adults.
This year, we played fear factor. It was lots of fun!
Our monster ate too many rats and barfed. They saved the rubber rats for 1 ticket each. The barf was made from spaghetti, dyed green alfredo sauce and shoestring beets. It smelled so bad, it was quite realistic!
Five tickets were locked in the box. All they had to do was unlock it to get them out. Oops, I dropped the key in the worms.
Did they dare play egg roulette? Break an egg on your head. Most are boiled, some are not! (Or so I said, but actually they were all boiled).

Diaper dash - lick the doody (pudding) from the diaper.
They also tasted cat food (deviled ham spread in a cat food can) and frog eggs on a cracker (dyed tapioca pudding). They played iron toes - see how many marbles you can get with your toes from the ice water and tasted baby food and had to guess the flavor. It was kind of crazy but I think they all had fun.
They got tickets for doing the challenges, good dancing, helping or being a good sport. At the end, we drew two tickets to win a prize.
We started the evening off with dinner. Everyone brought a fun Halloween food. The winners for best side dish and best dessert got a bucket of chocolate eyeballs. This was my cheaty way of not having to cook!
For Katie's entry, she made this great brain jello!
Lizzy (almost all by herself, and she has a blister to prove it!) made marshmallow and caramel earwax qtips.
We served frankenstein punch, skeleton lemonade, and hotdogs.
Katie finally decided to be a peacock. She found a really pretty costume on Amazon.
Lizzy was Cleopatra.
Theo even dressed up a bit.
They broke into teams and had a screaming contest, and then wrapped each other up like mummies. First team well wrapped was the winner.
After a winning team was declared, I told them the toilet paper war could commence.
They were all so good picking up toilet paper that not a piece was left the next morning.
Then we had our costume contest. The kids all got to vote on their favorites. Afterwards, they played sardines in the dark with flashlights, and then watched a movie.
Would you believe we actually had two peacocks at the party? Diana did an amazing job on this homemade costume and she won for prettiest!
It was a little crazy with so many friends, but we had lots of fun and hope to do it again next year!
