Last Wednesday the girls and their friend went on a field trip to the arboretum. It was very cold before lunch, but afterwards it warmed up a bit. It was beautiful as always with all the spring blooms. We got to dissect owl pellets (I was told that if they knew we were going to dig through owl barf for dead things they wouldn't have come), find all the little animals living in the soil, and learn about different types of plants. After the educational part, we enjoyed a picnic lunch and then explored the arboretum. They have lots of fairy tale houses there right now. The girls' favorite was the Little Mermaid. It was a fun day.
