On Tuesday, we went to Animal Kingdom. We started off the day with a safari breakfast with Donald and friends.
Thankfully we brought our translator.
Theo got a kick out of seeing the autos and the alters to the fake Hindu gods.
The great thing about our visit was this park was not at all crowded until late afternoon. (Or maybe we just did everything backwards and missed the main crowds as they headed to the big rides). After breakfast we went to Dinoworld and rode the primeval whirl twice and Dinosaur ride twice. Lizzy loved the Dinosaur ride and would have ridden again if we had the time.
We left Dinoland just in time to see Finding Nemo. (I don't know if it was our good luck, or if Disney somehow plans their park that way, but it seemed as if we arrived for every show just as it was ready to begin. It sure made our trip more amazing).
We rode the Expedition Everest and went on the Kilimanjaro safari.
Again, with our great timing, we came across the Jingle parade just as it was coming around a corner.
We really enjoyed the bugs life show and then finished off our day with the Lion King show which was great.
When walking out of the park, we saw these amazing birds all nesting in the trees for the evening.
We had fast passes for a couple of more rides after the show but decided we were too tired to use them so we made another family quite happy. Animal kingdom is the only park where I feel we missed anything significant as we were too tired to walk all the trails and we didn't ride the Kali river rapids. That was our short day however, and it was good to be back in the hotel by 7 and rest up for the rest of the week.
